WHEN IN ROME

Today is a big day. I've started and finished a layout for the first time in almost 2 years. I'm quite pleased with it ^^. I put most of my favorite products on it : thickers, butterfly, washi tape and a blue/green/brown combo. It's a pretty simple page but that's how I love them :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

JOURNAL ART KIT: PETER PAN

I told you last week that I was working on a Peter Pan themed art journal that I bought a long time ago on Elsie's blog : A Beautiful Mess. Well it is finally done and I love it!
The proof in pictures :

I didn't add much to what was already in the kit except for some washi tape, ribbon and black letter stickers. What do you think ?

BUSY AS A BEE

Hi guys,

I haven't blog once this week, but it's been quite crazy around here for me, as it was my last week in Nantes. I had classes and exams that kept me away from all the cool stuff like taking pictures, going shopping and making new layouts. Then yesterday was moving day, and I am now back in Paris for... 2 days! Crazy week I told you! I'll be heading to London on Monday for a one week seminar at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art (yay!) with the rest of my class. I've already been to London once and loved it and even did a mini album that you can see here. This time I'm gonna try and take less touristic pictures and more of little details and everyday shoot. I have an Intagram account that you can follow if you want, my username is @alinor89 !

In the meantime, I'm spending this entire week-end doing crafts and scrapbooking, I'll share pictures tomorrow but here's a little sneak peek just for you:

SOME OLD LAYOUTS 2

Hi everyone,

I just left Paris for Nantes today, where I'll be for a week. As I left all of my scrapbook stuff in Paris, I'll share with you some more old layouts:

The ring of Kerry is pretty much my favorite place ever, I completely felt in love with the county when I first went in Ireland.

Yes, I've quite grown up over the years ;)
I looove the papers I used on this one but I can't remember the brand :s. Anyway, the pictures where taken on a trip to London, their squares are filled with cute squirrels!

Enjoy your weekend !

MY FIRST BLURB BOOK

Back in August 2010, my sister and I went in Roma for a few days. We took something like 300 photos of our trip, photos that have been on my computer for almost 2 years. Then a few weeks ago I heard of Blurb, an online site where you can create a book with your Instagram photos, simply by connecting your account to the site.

hardcover Instagram book

I decided to give it a try, and selected my 30 favorite pictures of the trip, then ran them through Instagram, adding fun filters to every one. Then I downloaded on my computer the Blurb software (there's also an online version) and started my album. It was super easy and fun to do, there're lots of layouts, colors and texts options. As for the cover you can either go for a hard or a soft one. My book was pretty small (20 pages) so I chose the softcover.

Here are a few pictures (you can also see it online here):

I'm more than happy with it and will probably try the hardcover version on the next one !

OF BABYSITTING & SCRAPBOOKING

Hi guys,

I thought i'd start a new mini-album this week but I still havn't printed a single picture (do any of you have tips on ordering iPhone/Instagram photos btw?) so it's probably gonna wait a little more...

Anyway, yesterday was a busy busy day, I baby-sitted for my sister all evening (she's the proud mamma of a 4 months old little man) and of course i took some photos that I'll probably put into a mini album I'll give to her.

In the meanwhile, I found on my scrapbook stuff an old art journal that I never completed. It's called Neverland (by Elsie from A Beautiful Mess) and it's filled with pretty pattern of sirens, sea, pirates and other Peter Pan related stuff. Peter Pan was one of my favorite stories growing up so I couldn't resist buying it but at the time I had no photos to match it with. But I now found the perfect ones (from a perfect day at the beach in Pornichet plus a few shot of Nantes). I'm gonna start working on it today and then share the pictures here as soon as it's done.

For those of you who are curious, heres a few things that were on the kit :

You can find more here !

Have a great day,

SOME OLD LAYOUTS

I thought i'd share we you some of my old favorites layouts, before I get started on new ones (soon I hope). The first one on the left is probably the one I love most and since I don't exactly remember where this plane was taking me at the time, it's a good symbol of every journey I've taken and will take in the future.

Of all the layouts you've done, is there one you love more? I'd love to see them

IPHONE LOVER

Happy Monday everyone !

I'll start with a confession today. As much as I love scrapbooking, I havn't done a single page or album for over a year, for lack of time & inspiration. Then I got my iPhone... It might sound stupid but it changed a lot since. I've been taking pictures like crazy and playing with all the cool apps : Instagram, Hipstamatic & Phonto to quote a few. And right now, my fingers & I are itching for some action, it's time to get back at it ! Wish me luck

Ps : If you guys have some cool ideas for pages made of squared pictures, you're more than welcome to share them here !

Have a great week

THERE BEGAN MY STORY

Hi there !

I love the internet and how we can connect with everyone, no matter where or who we are. I'm a young adult starting her life and figuring out what to do with it, but what I do know is that I love taking pictures, discovering new places, spending time with my friends, movies & series, scrapbooking, flea markets, fashion, making list... and enjoying every second of it!

Freeze frame on a few fleeting moments of my journey through life.
