SPOTTED: MAY EDITION

Last month's list was super fun to put together, so i decided i'd do it again this month. Here's what i've been liking / wishing i had / been inspired by lately!

This camera! I am so ready to move on to a DSLR. Just wishing my bank account was ready too...
These quotes. The first one is way too awesome, and clearly true. Or is it just me? The second one is a quote from this song by Fun. Love this group! My Little Box! In France, boxes full of beauty/cooking/ lifestyle ... items that you can subscribe to and get each month are super popular. And there's nothing i like more that happy mail so i ended up subscribing too! I just got my first box, and i love it! It was full of beauty products for the summer, these awesome glasses, a coral nail polish and lots of other cute stuff. Is this a popular concept where you live too?

The Macy bag by Nat&Nin (a french brand). I've been dreaming ofthis one for a while, and yep, it is mine!! (i got it as an early birthday present!) I might have a thing for bags... i haveway too much (but always end up using the same... obviously!)
That's it for this month, hope you enjoyed! Do you have a similar list? I'd love to take a look!

PRODUCT CRUSH: A FLAIR FOR BUTTONS

Hello, it's time again for a new edition of Product crush Monday.

We've been seeing a lot of flair (or badges) around lately in the scrap world, both from big scrap companies and small Etsy shop owners. I'd like to talk to you about one of them today, which products i love!

The shop is called A flair for buttons and it's filled with lovely themed flairs. There's lot of sets to choose from but you can even make your own set by picking out your favorite flairs from any existing set. I've ordered a few of them recently and been having lots of fun with them on my layout (including Palm Trees, the latest layout i published). Shelley, the shop owner is the sweetest and so easy to get in touch with if you have any question (it's one of the things i love most about Etsy!).

Here's a few of my favorite sets (i bought the first one ;)):

So, what do you think about the flair trend? In or out?

PRODUCT CRUSH MONDAY

Happy Monday, hope you're already loving this new week!

For today's product crush, we're going back to the past, to this far far away time when people send postcards over the holidays, telling their friends & family all about the places they were visiting, the fun the had and how cool it was to be away. Now you're more likely to receive an sms or if you're lucky, an e-mail. I've always loved postcards and actually bought some not to send them to people but to keep them and thus collect beautiful shots of the various places i visited.

So imagine my joy when i discovered this beautiful Etsy Shop full of hundreds of vintage postcards! It's called Bursts of Creativity and you can find pack of vintage postcards from pretty much everywhere (a lot of it is US postcards but you can pretty much find any country/state/city you like). The postcards are BEAUTIFUL and i want them all!!

The reason i'm very obsessed with those lately is this tutorial by Kara on how to make a postcard travel journal. I think it's quite a brilliant idea!

And because everything is better with pictures on it, here a some of the postcards:

Product Crush Monday

Hello!!!

It's been quite a while since i last blogged but i feel like i needed this time off away from my computer screen. My sister's wedding has come and gone is a flash, it was oh so fun and cool to see my entire family, dance and stop myself from crying during the ceremony.
Since i've been scrapbooking a lot, and this is the subject of today's product crush!

A few weeks earlier, the classes of the last edition of True Scrap became available for individual purchase. Among all of the lessons, one definitely popped out because it's taught by my very favorite scrapbooker: Shimelle Laine!
The class is called 'The Perfect Collection' and it's all about getting the most out of a collection pack. If like me you sometime stare at your pretty papers forever, not daring to cut them, not knowing where to start... i'm sure you know what i mean!
I took the class and watched the video a few times before daring using one of my beloved collection, and let me tell you: i'm so glad i did it!
I'll tell you more about my perfect collection adventure on another post, but if you want more info on the class, i encourage you to go over to Shimelle's blog, and if you feel like it, join in the fun!

ps: here's a peak at one of the layout i did with the class, can you guess which collection i used? ;)

Product crush Monday

Hello! Happy Monday to all of you!

This is gonna be a very very busy & exciting week for me, with my sister getting married and all!!! Can't wait for this week end to come, it's gonna be so much fun (& we're gonna take millions of pictures of course!!)

Anyway, to find a little peace in this madness, here's this week product crush:

This cool website purpose is to offer free art projects to people that want a little inspiration and pretty things to hang on their wall but don't always have the money to do it. Various artists of very different styles offered artworks on a pdf format so that you can download them and print them from your home.
Unfortunately the site is no longer updated but they're still lots of cute artworks waiting for your download. Here are my favorites:

Go have a look, I'm pretty sure you'll find one you love ;)

Product crush Monday

Helloo everyone!

I thought I'd start this new week with a new feature here on the blog. It's called Product crush.

I don't know for you, but I do love spending time on Etsy looking for the perfect items to use on my scrap and crafts or just to hang since they're just so darn pretty. I'm pretty sure you too like cute things so I figured out: why not share some of my crushes with you here!
Some of the time it will be items i bought, some of the time just things I spent to much time looking at on my screen!

For the first edition, I want to talk to you about Postrgram, that i discovered very recently on the Skunkboy blog. Yet another website surfing on the Intagram wave you'll tell me? Yeah probably, but who cares? What they propose is a giant poster (wait for it) of one of your instagram photo (wait a bit more) made of your instagram feed! As I read this it sounds a bit weird, but let me tell you, it looks amazing!

Here's the proof:

I looove the concept and seriously want one, except my instagram account is still a work in progress so I'll have to wait a bit more (but I have a lot of picture taking coming ahead in the months to come as the BIG trip is coming in sight ;) )

So that was my product crush for this Monday, hope you'll tell me what you think of it!

Xo, Alinor
note: those posts are not sponsored posts. Just things that i liked and wanted to tell you about ;)
