NIAGARA FALLS

My friends and I left Ottawa for a few days to start exploring Canada a bit more and so we went to: The Niagara Falls! I've somehow always dreamed about seeing it with my own eyes and boy I'm not disappointed at all. It's very very impressive and something you should see at least once in your life. We arrived pretty late so we stayed to watch the fireworks (i LOVE fireworks) and the falls by night are the prettiest!! Just take a look by yourself ;)

OTTAWA

Hello there. Sorry for the silence, been busy adjusting to life in Canada, meeting new people and having fun.

Here's a few pictures of Ottawa, incredible city where everywhere you look at, nature and civilization seem to be living in peace.

SUMMER BOOK PAGES PART III

Part III of my summer mini book adventure. Did i tell how much i loved doing it? Kara is great, she has a very different style than mine and yet she really inspired me and got me going doing things i usually don't do much (like talking about random things or getting to know my camera a lot better). So yay for Kara!

I told you about the papers on the last post, so let's talk embellishments right now. Letters stickers: i used a bunch of them, all sorts of colors & shapes. They're like my favorite thing to buy so i have quite a lot, and it was fun using them all. Little thingy: every page has a paper clip on one side, i just bought them at my local store, how cute are they? (i love using basic supplies on my scrapbooks!). Lots of the embellishment are from the Love, Elsie collections. I bought pretty much everything Elsie created back then, and i still have quite a lot. I used a lot on this mini, like everything you see on the day sky/night sky pages! I've also aded a few flairs, from A flair for buttons mainly and of course lots of washi tapes. Pretty simple stuff, but i love the look of it!

See you soon for the last part ;)

SEA, ROCKS & SUN

Second attempt at scrapbooking large pictures. It's pretty cool. Especially the -everything comes together so quickly- part. I'm in love with that background paper, clearly still not over chevrons! Also had some fun with some of my current favorite alphas: teal glitter, woodgrain and white. we have a winner!
Just added a bit of paper layering for my journaling (it's in french, sorry guys!) and then a few embellishments (mostly circles since everything else is so rectangular!)
I also thought it might be fun to join in a challenge, so i chose SJ Craft Summer themed challenge. You can join here too ;)

Here are some detailed shots:
Thanks so much for taking a look!

ACROSS THE OCEAN

As you're reading this, i'm on a flight taking me from Paris, France to Ottawa, Canada, where I will be living and studying for the next 4 months!
I've traveled a bit, but never outside of Europe. Yet I've just embarked on a 6000 kilometers flight across the Atlantic ocean on to a new Continent. I'm pretty excited! To say the least.

I've got a lot of traveling planned, all around Canada first (every major cities, the Niagara Falls and i would kill to see Lake Moraine, hope i will make it), and then probably on to the East coast of the USA: Boston, New York, Washington... I'm living the dream & will most definitely enjoy every second of it. I know many of you are from Canada & the USA, so any suggestions are more than welcome!

Blog related, i'm not quite sure what will be happening here. I'm not taking much craft materials with me (i already have more shoes and clothes that the 23kg limit lets me take so there really is no room for patterned paper) but i've created a 4x6 mini album that's going with me and will serve as a journal to record my everyday. So I'm guessing there won't be much layout sharing here (except for a few i made lately but haven't showed you yet), but many travel photos and thought along my journey.
So if you wanna tag along, get in & join me in this incredible journey!
